I used different parts of the tote bag and drawstring pouch patterns to create this tote bag. I am so proud of it. It took a long time to make, but I think it was worth it. I don't want to say who it's for, but someone special will be getting this for her birthday!

Sewing Class #3
I made the CUTEST little drawstring pouch in sewing class today. It took about an hour and was super easy.
The lining is a printed adhesive fabric that you iron on. I wish I could have bought some, but the store doesn't carry it. I may have to look on line for some.

New Sewing Store and Little Pouch
I found out that the store I go to is a franchise with another location closer to my apartment. I decided to go there today and check it out. The minute I walked in, I could tell I was the first foreigner to step foot in that store. I think you could have heard a pin drop. The shop owner and her four student stopped dead and stared at me. A second later they recovered and the owner was bombarding me with questions in Korean. I'm not sure exactly what she was asking, but I think it was along the lines of "How did you find out about this store?" and "Why are you here?" I told her I was here to shop and that I found her on the internet. As for her other questions, I have no idea.
The selection at this store was much smaller than the other one I go to. I was able to find some new stuff. One of which was a 12 cm. squeeze purse frame. I bought 3 because I have a few different patterns for them. I made one when I got back to the school. I liked to way it turned out, but I'm finding out that small projects often take more time that big ones.
I took a picture with my hand to show the size. When you squeeze the sides the top springs open.

Totes, Totes, and more Totes
So my sewing club has been making tote bags for the past 3 meeting times. I keep forgetting that even though it only takes me about 20-30 minutes to make a tote bag, children need about 5 times longer. LOL. After the girls left, I decided to work on some of my own. I used fabric from our shopping trip last week. I'm really happy with the way they turned out!
I love that this fabric is printed on both sides!
These bears are too cute!!!

Lunch Box Basket #2
I loved this pattern so much that I had to make another one. I like this one, but I wish I had used the floral pattern for the sides. Still cute though!
New Purse
Here is a new purse pattern I tried on Friday. I need to go to the store to find a handle strap. It's from the same Japanese sewing book as the lunchbox basket. I am LOVING these books!
T-Shirt Reconstruction
I needed to test out an idea for my sewing girls this weekend. I asked one of my coworkers if her daughters had any t-shirt they had outgrown. She brought in two for me to play with. Here is one of the dresses I made.
