I promised to make a tutorial for the catch-all bag I made last week. Here it is. I love these bags. You can use them for almost anything. This tutorial is a bit more complex than my previous ones. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if something is unclear. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI am going to make one of these to replace my daughter's tattered lunch bag. Thanks for the great tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! That's a wonderful tutorial.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of bag. They're cute!
ReplyDeleteWell the way this is set up I can't print it out; the individual pages on the left column takes up so much room that the actual tutorial runs off to the right of the page. Only way I can make it is to read it from the computer screen. I can't seem to make that left column go away. Is anyone else having this problem?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry the tutorial isn't printing for you. I have not heard of anyone having problems printing the tutorial. I just went to check it with googledocs and everything looks ok. You can email me at sewingsteph7(at)yahoo(dot)com and I'll send you the PDF file directly.
ReplyDeleteI made this bag for a friend's birthday last weekend. I modified it by increasing the top section by 3 inches and widened it by 2 inches. I don't have access to those cool zippers with the great tabs that you have, so I found a key fob at the dollar store and attached it to the zipper pull with a small split ring. It turned out beautifully and she loved it. Thanks for the great tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad to hear that she loved her bag! I'll have to figure out a way to add a flickr group so we can share photos!
ReplyDeletePatricia, the link and photo are great. I hope your readers enjoy the tutorial!
ReplyDeletethis looks wonderful I can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love this bag but am having the same problem as another poster. Can't get the whole page because of a part at the side that I can't get rid of. I would love it if you would send me the pattern by email. Angelus5@sympatico.ca
ReplyDeleteI hope this pattern is still available. Thanks so much for sharing it.

ReplyDeleteI'm only a year or so behind everyone on this pattern release...found it while exploring blogs from Purse Palooza 2012!
That is a little beauty of a bag. I've just come over from Tip Nut. The pdf came thru fine but it looks complicated so will be a little challenge for me. Thank you for your time in putting this tutorial all together.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Was wondering how you did your straps? there is not a tutorial on it... I would like to know how you did the pink straps up?
ReplyDeleteThanks a Bunch! Love It~
ReplyDeleteI'm confused on step 18. I have the two h's side by side but I can't figure out how you get to the addition sign shape. Please help if possible. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI made the Catch-All bag for the first time today and have 2 more to make. It was fun to make and is so cute. Please check out my pinterest posting -http://www.pinterest.com/pin/320248223474488776/
ReplyDeleteThank you for a fabulous tutorial. X
a super cute bag. i would like to sew some of them - but if you have passion enough for making a tutorial video ....it would be awesome!!! :D ...
ReplyDeleteAwesome bag! I was wondering if you could post a pic of the inside thank you
ReplyDeleteExcellent tutorial--thank you so much for sharing it with us. I used your pattern and modified it a slightly. I used a 14 inch zipper and quilted the pieced outside and solid inside before sewing and finishing the inside with bias binding. I also added a handle across the end to make it more boyish, and more like a shaving kit. Perfect size for carrying matchbox cars, legos, or any other tools a little guy might need to stay occupied.
